Music is what happens between the notes (Sorry Google, Leonard Bernstein said that before YoYo Ma) That is proportion. Looking at Miles Davis perform, you see the attention and the thought … so that even when Herbie Hancock plays a wrong note – you respond… accordingly.
This is the resonance that lives all around us. When you have a day where everything goes right … the energy flows with a rhythm … proportionate. When you have a day that is outta whack … that proportion of life is out of sync.
